  • Admission requirements

    The following prerequisites must be met for admission to the course at the Swiss Hotelschool Lucerne SHL:

    • Relevant certificate of ability and with 20 years of age. All EFZs of the hotel industry and catering industry are regarded as relevant skills
    • Holders of other proficiency certificates and other upper secondary qualifications are admitted to join the course after reaching 21 years of age.
  • Language requirements

    For the participation in the lessons, a reliable knowledge of both written and spoken German is required (minimum level C1 European Language Reference Framework), as all courses are taught in German.

    • Entrance into the 3rd Semester (Front Office) requires English language skills at Level B2 of the European Language Reference Framework.
    • Prior to entry into the 4th semester (Business administration), proof of a second foreign language at level B1 (European Language Reference Framework) is mandatory.
  • Application

    Registration for the HF course is only possible in written form (application form). The confirmation is also returned in written form. The registration becomes valid with the payment of the registration fee.
