Sales & Marketing Trainee

We are looking for a Sales & Marketing Trainee to join the team at the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern from !

The legendary Hotel Palace Luzern first opened in 1906 and is in the city on the shores of Lake Lucerne. After a complete renovation, the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern reopened its doors in September 2022. It comprises 136 rooms and suites offering excellent views over the lake and mountains. Four restaurants, one bar together with a variety of meeting facilities, a Spa and a fitness room roundup our offer for our Guests.   

As Sales & Marketing Trainee, you will be responsible for the following duties:   

• Responsibility for the smooth administrative and operational process and good communication within the Sales & Marketing department
• Evaluating new business opportunities in collaboration with the Director of Sales 
• Qualifying requests for corporate contracts (RFPs)
• Conducting house tours
• Maintaining client files and ensuring systems are always updated (price lists, proposal forms, menus, etc.)
• Creating statistics, reports and presentations

As Sales & Marketing Trainee, we expect from you:   

• Organizational talent with a high level of comprehension 
• Open minded character with good communication skills, diligence and commitment
• Well-mannered and strong communication skills towards guests, customers, colleagues and superiors; always considering intercultural aspects
• Good computer skills 
• Excellent language skills in German and English, both written and spoken
