About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern, within the kitchen department, the Kitchen Trainee is responsible for supporting the kitchen team and creating dishes that will delight our guests.

As Kitchen Trainee, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Preparing and making high-quality meals
• Helping with the preparation and follow-up of events
• Supporting the kitchen team, ensuring smooth work processes in a shift
• Complying with all guidelines and storing all food properly
• Complying with hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelines

As Kitchen Trainee, we expect from you:

• Passion for cooking - initial experience in the hotel/gastronomy industry would be an advantage.
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position includes weekend and holiday shifts
• Teamwork, reliability and creativity
• Very good knowledge of English, further foreign language skills are an advantage
